Will El Nino ever come? After a slew of 80 degree plus weather, we were treated with some rain tonight. The temps will be in the mid 60s for the remainder of the week, then climb back up to the low 80s by next week. I love the creaminess of Bokeh from a fast, wide open lense, and the 50mm f/1.2L lens doesn’t disappoint! I hopped in the car and drove down Wilshire for a bit of time without the wipers on to accumulate rain drops. As I approached a red light, I focused on the rain drops from the windshield at 1.2, throwing the lights into the beautiful, circular, dreamy, onion ring like bokeh. The lights in the distance are brake lights, green lights, head lights, turn signals, and street lights. With the razor thin depth of field, I tried to keep the focal plane on the “horizon”, so the droplets are in focus roughly 40% of the way up, and out of focus top and bottom.
