A couple months back I went to Joshua Tree to try my hand at star trails. This was my first attempt and there a couple of areas I could have improved upon, but for my first try, I’m pretty happy! This is a composite of roughly 150 images merged in Star Stax. and cleaned up in Photoshop.
This was a last minute trip to a place I’ve never been. Roughly 2 hours away, it’s not too far of a drive to have very light pollution you get from Los Angeles. I’ve heard stories of the amazing beauty, but words can’t describe what you see! (I guess that’s why they say a picture is worth a thousand words!). I was taken aback with the incredible beauty of the dusk colors. Unfortunately, since it was a last minute trip, I got there late and the camping spots were taken, so I couldn’t get immersed. I will be back, however! Here are a couple of images from my night.
