I picked up my older son from his high school performance practice and headed down to the pier. Now that Colorado Blvd. is open with the opening of the train, it’s easier to get a straight on shot. However, I was in my car with a brief red light, so I quickly cranked my ISO to 3200 and set the shutter to 1/200″ so I could handhold while hanging out the window. Tonight was more of a practice of quickly getting the manual settings where I need them to get the light, “freeze” movement, and handhold without being able to ‘tripod’ my camera securely. Oh, and to complete the triangle, f/4.0.
