Monday will be my wife’s and I seven year anniversary, so we headed out to Catalina. We are staying at the ol’ Wrigley Mansion (Inn on Mt. Ada) in Avalon. The views are fantastic. We took the helicopter from Island Express out of Long Beach and I thoroughly enjoyed the views coming out of the harbor. Tonight we met a great couple from Atlanta and ended up sitting in the ‘sitting room’ having home made ice cream and just visiting. It was a perfect day. Today’s POTD is a the view from our private balcony overlooking Avalon. The dining room also has an amazing view. While I love the view of Avalon, I think I enjoy the shot of the dining room the most as that is a blend of two photographs along with a few curve adjustments in Photoshop. I’m really trying to dig in and learn photoshop. I’ve become quite proficient with Lightroom and wondered why I’d ever want to use Photoshop, but that was because I didn’t know how to use it. As I’m learning, wow, I really can’t wait to accelerate my learning curve.
