I’ve been meaning to shoot this house for awhile, I see tours come by during weekends to see Frank Ghery’s house (the renowned architect responsible for such building as the Disney Hall in downtown LA, Guggenheim, etc.). He lives just around the corner from me and I pass his place everyday. It’s quite an interesting place, chain link, corrugated siding, thick wood, angles, and shapes.
As a side note, I went to visit a friend tonight who is battling leukemia and it made me very melancholy, so I walked around the neighborhood and thought, “why not?” I was feeling a bit disjointed today and this house resonated with me tonight. It’s part of the neighborhood, but just slightly off. I’m feeling off tonight as well. I will have to shoot this house again in daylight and with a wider focal length next time.
“He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” – Revelation 21:4 I’m ready for that day.
