I’m still under the weather, so we are digging at the bottom of the toy chest! I tried shooting this at f/1.2, f/3.5, f/5.6 on my 85mm f/1.2L. I was at the closest range possible and the depth of field changed slightly – the 1.2 shot basically put the closest corner of the bumper and light in focus. By the tail end of the car, it was completely blurred out. 5.6 shot had focus from front bumper to just around the side mirror. The tail is a bit out of focus – not nearly to the level of the 1.2. As much as I like a shallow depth of field, it can become a little much, so I’m enjoying practicing the different levels.
Shot with Canon 5D3, 85mm f/1.2L, f/3.5, 1/60″, ISO 1600
